This was traditional pantomime with audience participation, lots of fun and good music. It was well directed by Graham making the most of the script and also making good use of the set. John had organised the music very well with a number of well arranged settings particularly with the chorus numbers. On stage there was a talented cast in depth led by Hannah Lishman, an excellent principal boy with the looks, the vocal ability and the oomph! Her sister Amy Lishman was a super principal girl both vocally and dramatically, while her mother Rosie made a great Fairy Godmother. Haydn Taylor was a very good Dame with good audience interaction as was Tom Bailey in the comedy role of Tommy. Kelly Wakefield was well cast as Rosie, never out of character and a bundle of energy, while Gillian Williams was very wicked as the baddy, not one to meet on a dark night! There was some lovely singing from principals and chorus alike. As usual the choreography and dancing was excellent with plenty of routines to enjoy. The costumes, set, lighting and stage management all added to the occasion to give a very enjoyable, if a little long, evening. Well done.
