Sleeping Beauty is a lovely tale and Peacehaven told it very well indeed. The scenery worked very well with the added additiion of projection. The goodies and the baddies were all there and on great form. Elliot Windsor's portrayal of Nurse Dottie Dettol was great - one of the best Dames I've seen for quite a few years - he gave great enjoyment to the audience and Judith Foot was really good fun in the part of Muddles - good interaction with the audience. Mandie Fairhall as Good Fairy Lilac and Georgie Bancroft as Bad Witch Hazel were just right and of course Sleeping Beauty (Cheryl Parker) and Tanisha Curtis as Prince Alexis (the whole hub of the story) gave great value in their performances. The adult chorus added to the whole thing as did the Harlequin Chorus provided by the local Harlequin Studios - excellent dancing from all the young people. The Wardrobe Department are to be congratulated as everyone looked wonderful - msut have taken a lot of hard work. There were a lot of songs to be learned and all the singing came over well with the excellent accompaniment from MD Anthony Wilson and his two colleagues. In all a very enjoyable experience.
