If anyone is considering putting on a pantomime, may I suggest you go to see Company of Four? This Company will be presented with an award at the Noda Awards Ceremony for last year’s panto Jack and the Beanstalk! The sets of dancers were superb as are the costumes. Every scene was a joy of song and dance. Paul Leach was the ultimate Dame Gertie!
The show opened with three contrasting jolly fairies in the form of Claire Hopkins, Vicky Hart and Grace Wellfare. Olivia Bullock enjoyed her boos and cheers as the Wicked Fairy. The Prince was Amelia Brown, a beautifully turned out charming portrayal. Beauty played by Molly Heery, her second performance with the company and at 16 years old she shows good promise for the future. Funny guys Shandy and Brandy kept the action moving with their usual flair for comedy excellent Norman Lloyd and Adam Kearney. This couple with Dame Gertie were hilarious in their sketch on how to change the baby, Poor old Brandy was the victim - marvellous!
Another winner for Company of Four, principals, scenery, costumes all first class. Well done indeed.
