CWAGMS always provide quality entertainment and 'Sleeping Beauty' was no exception.  This NODA panto written by Peter Denyer was a challenge to the society as it was wordy in places but they overcame this to ensure that the audience was well entertained.

Sharron Burns’ production was fast moving and performed in front of some wonderful looking cloths with some very good performances.

Sammi Thomas as The Princess Beauty had a wonderful voice as did Darrell Burns as The Minstrel with the wonderful Italian accent.  Ruth Streeton-Burns was outstanding as Carabosse (The Black Fairy) and how the audience booed her which she encouraged.  The Lilac Fairy was played by Ellen Nicholls, the fairy who saved the day.  Geoff Rowlands gave us the comedy element as Bumble, who could never get his words right.  John Nicholls played Nanny Fanny Cranny, the dame of the panto, who had some good one liners and was well supported by Roger Thackham and Sarah Mitchell as the King and Queen.

Entering in Act 2 was Andy Nicholls as Prince Michael of Monrovia and he really brought some action into this half of the panto.

With colourful costumes this was a true family panto.

Well done to Sharron, all her team and the company.
