As this would be my first time seeing the JR version of this production I was really looking forward to attending as Sister Act contains some of my favourite musical numbers, this well cast production certainly didn’t disappoint.

Every single cast member deserves to be congratulated as each held their own character throughout. As an audience member it was evident there were some touching and also very funny moments throughout the script and it was plain to see how well the nuns supported each other and held the upmost respect for Mother Superior played by Eva Phelan.

Whereas the bad guys looked as if their relationship had a strong connection, it was so cool to be “One of the Gang” made up of Curtis, Joey, Tj.Pablo and Ernie played by Jude Sanders, Theo Cuthbert, Billy Stait, David Morrison and Andrew Morrison respectively. Their dialogue flowed with speed including some credible accents.

Evangeline Stait gave an outstanding performance as Deloris, playing the role with confidence and truly sassy stage presence.

Sisters Mary Patrick, Mary Robert and Mary Lazarus played by Lola Swoffer, Sophie Stait and Marianne Mills respectively were all extremely supportive of Delores even when finding out she wasn’t actually a nun!

The production team should be congratulated as when working with youth it holds its own challenges, primarily not to ask or expect they act like adults or children. I must compliment this production throughout as I felt it was spot on for the age group on stage.

There were many joyful musical numbers that included some great choreography by Viv Morrison, I loved the company number ‘Take me to Heaven ‘and special mention must go to Tristen Allport for his ‘I Could Be That Guy ‘and Evangeline ‘Sister Act’.

Simple but very effective props & scenery, slick scene changes and colourful period costumes, hair and makeup really gave such a professional finish to the whole production.

Many congratulations to you all, you should be very proud.

Thank you for inviting me once again, my husband and I really enjoyed the thoroughly entertaining evening.
