Northallerton  produced yet another  first class production, getting of to a perfect start before a capacity audience.

Dolores witnesses her boyfriend Curtis, and his cronies commit a murder. In order to protect Dolores, Sweaty Eddie the Police  Superintendent, hides her into a convent full of Nuns. Whilst there Dolores, a renowned singer takes over a badly performing choir in a parish that had fallen on hard times, this much to the horror of the Mother Superior.

There were many  first class performances, Kirsten Moore as Dolores, playing her first part with the company with a powerful singing voice and her excellent acting really gave an outstanding performance.  Andrea Atkinson was also outstanding as Mother Superior with her strong singing voice and her acting. David Ferry played Curtis really strongly and with his long service to the company  always gives a good performance. His fellow gangsters were also well played by, Roger Kiddle as  TJ he was the funny one who always had a  joke, Ben Laws-Williams played Joey and James Cornick played the Spanish speaking Pablo  - they were all very good and supported Curtis very well.

To complete the male line up Basil Bosomworth  played the Cop  and Lewis Wilde played  Ernie. Martin Holdsworth was excellent as the Monsignor O’Hara really was an ideal priest. The Nuns were really well played,
Emily Hobbs, the postulant,  Sister Mary  Robert was confidently played indeed, Andrea Rhodes played Sister Mary Patrick, Janet Miles played Sister Lazarus, who conducted the choir initially (not very  well), was very well played indeed. Liz McDougal played Sister Mary Theresa, the old nun very well indeed, Issy  Ineson played Sister Mary  Martin of-Tours   very  well indeed. The Nuns chorus line was indeed very powerful and really well sung. Other parts were played by Anthea Richardson-Owens who played Michelle  and Karen Breckon who played Tina. They were fellow singers and friends of  Dolores.

Michele Plews did a first class job directing  and choreographing the show, Trevor Wilson also did a first class job  directing his Orchestra and the excellent chorus work. It was indeed an superb production and the capacity audiences all week saw a great show.
