Every so often a real feel-good show comes along, and, this was one of them!

From start to finish the cast from Sutton Coldfield MTC gave it their all. Deloris Van Carrier was played by Marsha Webbe, a fine actress with a very powerful voice who suited the role to a tee. She was ably supported by Deb Crump as the Mother Superior of the convent that Deloris hides.  Curtis, the murderer who is trying to find Deloris was played by Ben Adams. Together with his three associates, played by, Anil Patel, Dave Crump and Matthew Collins played their roles well. Jonathan Blake played Policeman Eddie, who befriends Deloris and takes her to the convent. Special mention must go to Sister Mary Robert (Beth Dickinson) and Sister Mary Patrick (Naomi O’Borne) who really worked well together. There were also some wonderful cameo roles in this production including Paula Lumsden as Sister Mary Lazarus and John Johnson gave a most memorable performance as The Monsignor.

The Set was outstanding and flowed effortlessly from scene to scene.  Costumes were striking with lighting that showed them to their best advantage.  A well-balanced orchestra was complimented by a sound system that ensured you could hear every word both sung and spoken. Paul Lumsden and his team did a great job with this production.

Looking forward to seeing you all at ‘Pirates’
