Once again Forfar Musical Society chose a version of a well-known panto written by former members Tommy Baxter and Neil Stewart who always find a way of turning out pantos with an original twist. This was no exception with the music brought right up-to-date and a wide range of characters - fifteen in total. In the title role of Sinbad the Sailor Terri Roberts was in excellent voice as was her romantic partner Princess Jasmine. The comedy element was in the capable hands of Dave Mitchell as Mrs Sinbad and Lee McLean as Tinbad the Taylor. The "baddie" trio of Zenobia, Kasim and Emphisema was excellently handles by Iona Allan, Darren Gill and Marley Hinter, the latter in particular making the most of her facial expressions and singing voice. Princess Jasmine's side-kick Falafel (Louise Cumming also added to the comedy of the piece as Big Chief Titty Boom Boom (Rhoda Burke) and Ali Kazam (Craig Keable). The cast was completed by Louise Reoch and Adelle Candy as Swash and Buckle, Pierre Bernard as Mustafa Leak and Andrew Buchan as Jake the Peg. The stage had an excellent back cloth of a sailing ship and the music was accompanied by a nicely balanced five-piece band. Well done Forfar MS
