Shrek the Musical Jr

Firstly, a thank you goes out to Susanne Crosby for letting me cover Shrek the Musical Jr at Uckfield Civic Centre, A long trip for me BUT I wouldn’t have missed it. It was ……

                                                               DELIGHTFUL. !!

Arriving early, I had time to digest the super programme, as I read, I thought to myself this Shrek is in the hands of all young people, with support from adults now that is a first for me.

Meredith Creffield as Director at only 16 years of age, Jesse as Musical Director and Abi as Choreographer assisted by Sam along with Supporting Adults.!!

It’s great to see that these adults are passing on their knowledge of Direction and technical ability to the young up and coming talent of the future.

Meredith, Jesse and Abi as production team with Katie as Technical Manager & Stage Manager also Evie A as Head of Props, this show was delightfully directed from start to finish. I believe lighting was in the capable hands of 9-year-old James. Eden- Music operator / and Tapping Rat, Luca on Projection Design and operation There were 30 odd in the cast these being.

Gosh what a cast !! you all played your parts extremely well and your young talent shone through. Meredith Creffield your direction was uppermost in this production of Shrek, keep up the good work.
