Showstoppers

Thanks very much for inviting Phyllis and I to your presentation of Showstoppers in the beautiful Rosehill Theatre.                                  

You showcased a very good variation of songs, ranging from traditional musicals to the new less well known ones, giving the audience the opportunity to enjoy something new.

The cast of seniors and juniors worked very hard throughout, giving most cast members the opportunity to show their talent.

I enjoyed the comedy that the Little Maids, Val Milling, Eleanor Martin and Pat Nelson brought, performing the number on zimmer frames. Another highlight for me were the numbers from Chicago, All That Jazz, by Ellen Elliot, and Cell Block Tango featuring Elizabeth Dodd, Sheridan Appleby, Laura Swinburne, Christine Brown, Ellen Elliot and Rebecca Rennoldson.

The band, led by Mike Ames, accompanied the cast very well. It was wonderful to see so many enthusiastic people of different ages all working together and not only enjoying themselves, but bringing pleasure to others.
