This was an amazingly well thought out concert containing everything you want from an evening’s entertainment with a vast array of talent. This is how to use this venue to its fullest advantage in every aspect. What stood out more than anything was the discipline throughout the society enabling you to carry of such an accomplished programme well done.
A really strong opening from Les Miserables with the entire cast really made you sit up and we knew we were in for a treat, Fiona Walkers rendition of I dreamed a dream was outstanding, Joan Dean moved me to tears with you’ll never walk alone so very moving a huge congratulation, no more so than that of Seren Dovey Evans very impressive from someone of such tender years brilliant. The duet I know him so well from Fiona Walker and Emma Dale was as good as it gets so professional. Joel Merry blew me away with Sunset Boulevard from the same show the performance of the show too outstanding for words, as it happens my favourite show well done young man why you’re not in the west end I do not know. Another suit case in another hall with Emma Dale, Ben Evans-Clarke, Jonathan Hall & Joe Moore was just so good as were the harmonies well done, One more day from Les Miserables bought the first half to a stupendous climax with the entire company. Moving into the second half of the programme with Nine To Five moved us into the newer shows to hit the west end and was a good choice. No One but You & We Will Rock You is memorable for harmonies from all concerned, as was Seasons of Love from Rent not everyone’s choice of show but we have to move with the times. Shrek another new show proved easy for Jennifer Connah, Seren Dovey- Evans & Rowan Perry with I know It’s Today. Seren Dovey-Evans, also raised the roof with her rendition of Tomorrow very strong and convincing well done. Two more excellent performances from Ghost by Joel Merry & Kayleigh Strong. Good Morning Baltimore is a bounce in the isle number from Hairspray and did just that from Jennifer Connah, Leah Dovey-Evans, Emma Morgan & company. The Lion King is such a favourite with kids no mean task but proved to be effortless for Toby Abbott, Ben Evans-Clarke, and Becky Brookes. The show finished with an outrageously funny burst from The hit Show from Matilda which turned adults into kids and kids into super stars carrying all in their wake what a finale to an exceptional concert thoroughly enjoyed by everyone
My sincere thanks for your hospitality during the evening and lovely to meet everyone with so much talent well done.
