Written by members of the club the show is set in Duns and tells the story of Marion and her two closest friends Babs and Sally. Spanning from the early 70’s until the present day and using a photo album to bring back memories, the show is a whirlwind of a journey and a tale of enduring friendship, love and loss.
In the lead role Lynn Gray held the whole show together as she reminisced about her life and the many family and friends that were and still are a part of it. Clever us of colour in the costumes ensured the audience were able to easily follow their journey of each character as we moved through the years.
Whether playing a named character or part of the ensemble it was clear that everyone on stage were clearly invested in their performances and delivered a most enjoyable production. It was encouraging to see a good number of younger performers involved in the production helping to secure the future of the club over the coming years.
The stage set was simple but used well, song choices were appropriate, choreography slick and singing and dialogue all delivered clearly with a nice blend of voices.
Well done to all involved for brining something new to the stage in Duns.
