Youth societies are the future of NODA and with Spotlight, NODA is in safe hands. The energy and enthusiasm, which came off the stage from the 70 young people, was infectious.
This new production, written by Chairman Steve Groves, was set on 31st December 1999, inside a computer, waiting to see if the millennium bug would cause it to crash. Along the way we meet ‘The Computer Group’, ‘The Bugs Group’, ‘The Super Heroes Group’ and ‘ The Anti Virus Software Group. The production used popular music of the 1990’s to add to the wonderful performance these young people gave.
With such a large cast sometimes the stage can get chaotic but not this production which smoothly ran from one scene to another. Speaking of scenery, most of it was projected using computer graphics, which worked well. I should not single out any of the cast as they were all so good, but I did enjoy watching Sam Barrett as Mouse and Deb Allen as control.
Well done to you all and I look forward to your next production.
