Schoolsical

I visited IODS Juniors stage school, which teaches drama,  stage craft and music. Especially written by IODS member Ben Akers who has played many parts with the main Society. The story tells of the trials and anxieties and all the hard work which goes into auditioning for a school production. We go though the auditions with various members, singing, acting which of course shows off the talent these youngsters have.

The production had two excellent narrators dressed as fairy tale characters who interceded at various intervals with some witty dialogue.  There was some good chorus work from the young cast and you can certainly see the potential of some of them to become members of the main society in due course.

Well done everyone including Emma Haggar who played for all rehearsals and performing pianist Andrew Burke.
