As the Director said in her notes "this play is a roller-coaster portrayal of life with a disability, from the point of view of a disabled person, their family and other people who have difficulty in understanding, which could be due to their lack of knowledge, prejudice or an inability to change". Lara, who is disabled, and spends her life in a wheelchair wrote, directed and played the leading role in this play. The scenes, set in black curtains with chairs for 4 actors with Lara in her wheelchair, were each introduced by suitable music and lighting. The 4 actors (Richard Hunt, Helen Stanley, Trevor Gibson & Lee Sharratt) playing multiple parts depicting bullying at school (a harrowing scene), being unwanted, being treated like an idiot, being unable to communicate and being treated and talked to like a baby even though you are in your teeens. A very thought provoking and chanllenging play, very well played with great sensitivity by all the members of the cast. It came across the footlights as performed in the intimate Upstairs theatre of the Carriageworks with an overwhelming clarity.
