RUDDIGORE

This was a very sound traditional G. & S. type production with well sung chorus numbers. The singing of Anna Trent (Rose Maybud) was a delight as was Leon Waksberg as Richard Dauntless. Malcolm Parkinson gave us a most impressive portrayal as Sir Ruthven Murgatroyd a most demanding role. The number towards the end of the production 'There Grew A Little Flower' performed by Stephanie Roe (Dame Hannah) and David Parker (Sir Roderic Murgatroyd) was I felt superb as one would expect from these two exceptional performers. The orchestra was well controlled and the fine sets did much to enhance this production.
