Masqueraders Theatrical Society performed Roger and Hammerstein Cinderella. The show follows the typical story of Cinderella. In this version Ella, who lives with her stepmother and sisters, longs for a better life, and the story unfolds from there.

The principal cast of Ella, played by Lauren Seabrook, was a pleasure to watch and played the part with innocence, and together with Jack Deaves as Prince Topia, portrayed the role with ease, both have excellent vocal ability and characterization.

Karen Deaves as Marie the Fairy Godmother showed the warming and caring nature of the role, and was lovely to watch on stage with her interactions with Ella.

Kim Liggins as Madame (the evil stepmother) and was excellent in the role, ozzing evil in all the right ways and is always a pleasure to watch in any role that she does. Jenny Chappell as Charlotte and Krista Silverwood as Gabrielle (the evil stepsisters) and worked well as well  as duo, interacting very well with each other and with Kim. Jenny also had the job of having to eat constantly through the show, and she did this very well. Kirsten showed the caring nature of Gabrielle, and were a joy to watch.

Jordan Bloomer (Michael) Chad Fletcher (Sebastian) and Ashley Bostock (Lord Pinkleton) rounded out the principal cast and played their role as well. The set and lighting was excellently done as it normally is with a MTS show.

An enjoyable evening.
