Report

Author: Anne Key-Huckerby (for Liz Williams)

Written by Dominic Hinkins, this panto was highly entertaining.

Congratulations to those responsible for the excellent set with deft scene changes taking place most efficiently. Combined with suitable

lighting  and special effects, the technical aspects were in good hands.

The story was nicely told by the main characters with Derek le Page well cast as Dame Carusie, Sian McDonald in thr title role and Lucy  Masdale as a close friend of Robinson's. Thomas Peckham as Bosun Higgs and Gwyn Williams as anothe sailor were responsible for much of the  comedy. Chris Liversidge appeared as Man Friday [a rather strange oddity] and Gail Hinkins was suitably evil as the Pirate Queen.

The musical items which were completely new to me were very pleasing.

The rest of the members of the cast and the chorus worked well in support and the end result was a most enjoyable panto.
