This pantomime was a laugh a minute. There certainly was a great deal of work put into producing such a good   show.

We are introduced to Robin and his Merry Men who foil the evil Sheriff. They are trying to foil his plot to kill the Babes and steal King John`s money. Setting up camp in the forest they hatch a plan to save the children and their nanny Nellie Nickerlastic.

The  principals are well cast. Robin and Marion,  well played by Jennifer Scrafton and Katie Ball. Both have good stage presence and sing well together.

Jason Crompton  gave a super performance as the Sheriff becoming nastier by the minute. His   henchmen Snivel and Grovel (Gareth Mabon and Elliot Hogben) were great as the Sheriff`s dim sidekicks bringing many laughs from the audience.

The  Merry Men were brilliant. Friar Tuck(Paul Costello), Will Scarlet (Rachel Scrafton),and my favourite the really funny Little John (Chris Hatchman), who managed to draw out all the humour in this part.

Not to be outdone with humour was Matthew Gavin. His portrayal as Nellie Nickerlastic was fantastic with wonderful costumes, wigs and makeup. Every one of his scenes had the audience in stitches. One of my  favourites  was her rendition of `The Stripper`   Hilarious

The two Babes were brilliant. Played by Adam Crompton(Sam) and Libby Russell(Ella) every word and movement, perfect.  Well Done.

Smaller parts were well cast with not a mistake in sight. It would be remiss not to mention the young chorus. You were superb with good singing andt dancing.

Costumes were very attractive. Simple sets were well thought out. Stage crew made fast scene changes. Finally plaudits to the pianist Ruth Wills and percussionist Mark Fielding  who played throughout the show with hardly a pause.

Many thanks for your kind invitation and care given, I had a super evening.
