This fast moving family panto from Emily and Dexter was another sure fire hit for Sutton Arts.  Leading the company was Robbie Newton as be Sheriff of Nottingham, how the audience booed him.  Robbie played the part to the full and knew how to get the audience going.  Our Hero, Robin Hood, was played well by Tom Cooper, who ensured that good triumphed over evil.  They were well supported by a very talented cast including Hannah McNamee as the Sprite and Sophie McCoy as Maid Marian.  Comedy came from Doris and Boris, Keyleigh Alison and Josef Hammond and from Sutton Arts veteran James Hutt as Silly Billy.  Friar Tuck was played well by Paul Wescott and I did feel sorry for two of the merry men in the bathroom scene.  They really must have needed a bath after that.

With such a large cast there are just too many good actors to mention, but I feel I must mention Jonathan Owen as Nanny Nellie Knickerbocker.  Fantastic stage presence, some good one liners and wonderful costumes.

This production had everything a panto should have, laughs, boos, plenty of singing and dancing, real family fun.

The lighting was effective and the set up to the usual Sutton Arts standard.

Well done to everyone.
