A classic tale of the legendary Robin Hood as he battles with the Sheriff of Nottingham, both Robin and the Sheriff are trying to capture the attention of Maid Marian but mayhem hinders their efforts along the way.
The story started with Much, The Miller’s Son played by Emily Sherwood telling the folk how he is great friends with Robin Hood played by Katherine Mossop.
The chemistry and interaction between the two characters was very good, along with their vocals, dancing and comedy timing.
Maid Marian played by Trudy Carter Fox delighted the audience with some powerful singing, full of confidence and had a great partnership with Nanny Nora Tittle Tattle played by Melanie Sherwood.
Nora Tittle Tattle had the audience in stitches with her Comedy, and choice of fashion. Always interacting with the audience. This was a superb performance.
We now come to Mr Nasty himself David Powell playing the part of Sheriff of Nottingham, from the minute he walked on stage he had the audience booing and hissing him which shows how well he played the part, along with playing the evil part David sang a couple of songs, which show-cased his vocals which were very good.
The chorus sang and danced well and even doubled up to play extra parts. It was nice to see so many smiling faces of people who really looked to be enjoying themselves on stage.
I now come to a good comedy double act, Nickit played by Amber Lupton and Scarper played by Leah Wilkinson. Comedy timing was amazing and funny and the confidence on which these two played the parts was well appreciated by the audience. They kept the tempo going from start to finish.
Directors Trevor Mossop and Melanie Sherwood put on a wonderful Panto which showed how much work had gone into this.
Melanie Sherwood also done the Choreography, the cast must have worked hard on some of those routines as it looked good off stage.
Lighting and sound were also very good with no hiccups on the night.
A wonderful panto, you all had the audience clapping, Booing and joining in showing how much they were enjoying it.
Well, done to you all.
