This thoroughly enjoyable revue was a journey through the history of musical theatre starting with the music halls of the 1900’s to the modern musicals of the present day.

The very well chosen selection of musical numbers was varied and all fairly well known providing an opportunity for many on stage to showcase their individual talents. It was so lovely to see and hear a cast with an age range varying from very young children to the more mature members (I believe a couple in their 80’s) all working well together. There were some very good solo and small ensemble performances from the both the young and not so young. With so  much talent on stage it seems a bit unfair to single out any particular numbers  but I did particularly enjoy ‘Chim Chim Cheree’ the beautifully sung ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ the saucy ‘Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend’ ‘Another Suitcase’ ‘Marilyn Monroe’ and the show stopping ‘This is the Moment’ (well done Bob)

The company is fortunate in having such a wealth of individual talent and when put together the choral singing was very strong indeed. ’One Day More’ was delivered with great strength and attack and finished the first half with great harmonies from the chorus and fine solo performances.

Also the rousing finale with the ‘Queen Medley’ and ever popular ‘500 miles’ certainly had the audience joining in and finished the evening on a high.

This really  was a very well put together programme which was delivered with confidence providing an evening of great fun and entertainment. It was such a pleasure to see the up and coming stars along side the more established players.

Well done M.A.M.A
