In my opinion this was one of the best M.A.M.A. revues I have seen. There was such a varied selection of music from different decades and judging by the audience response most of the numbers were well known and loved.

A striking opening number ‘The Circle of Life’ got the evening off to a great start both vocally and visually and I would have to say that the wigs, costumes and make up throughout the production were fabulous.

The Disney section at the beginning was charming and it was refreshing to hear a gentler version of the popular ‘Let It Go’ from ’Frozen’. The kids in the company were in sparkling form with ‘You Ain’t Never Had A Friend Like Me’ and were again in their element and looked terrific in their numbers from ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.

A ‘Take That Medley’ gave a group of younger members the chance to show off their talents while the more mature ladies let their hair down strutting their stuff making the invitation to ‘Put A Ring On It’. A rock section with a stunning Lady Gaga singing ‘Edge of Glory’ and Kiss look a likes with ‘Crazy Nights’ finished off the first act in style.

In complete contrast a more subdued selection started off the second act and here the chorus were at their best with Cold Play’s ‘Viva La Vida’ and ‘When You Believe’. Again there were some more stunning wigs and costumes for those in ‘I Say A Little Prayer’. Few revues get by without something from ‘Les Miserables’ and the version of ‘Bring Him Home’ sung harmoniously by four gentlemen was very well done. Robbie Williams ’Candy’ was also one of the shows highlights.

A special mention must also be made of the hilarious cleaning lady and the Proclaimers interlude which added to the fun and humour in the evening.

This was certainly a varied programme which was well delivered by soloists and ensemble and very well directed and staged. A most colourful finale ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ brought the evening to a fine conclusion. A small well balanced band supported the company throughout

Congratulations on a most enjoyable production.
