Cumbernauld Musical Theatre Society marked a triumphant return after a two-year absence with a highly successful revival concert at the New Town Hall.  Presented in cabaret style, the fundraising evening featured an impressive programme of thirty-six popular musical theatre numbers, spanning classics such as The Wizard of Oz through to modern favourites including Hamilton, offering something to appeal to everyone.  The concert showcased the depth of talent within the society, with soloists, small ensembles and full-company numbers delivered with confidence and polish.  Performances were consistently strong, reflecting a high standard of preparation and commitment throughout the company.  Under the assured musical direction of Ian Monteith-Mathie, supported by an accomplished band, the evening proved to be a first-class piece of entertainment and a welcome return for the society after its break.  Full credit must be given to the entire company, along with trustees Amanda Letarte, Alan Brown, and Ian Monteith-Mathie, and also Honorary President Iain Fraser, for successfully bringing this concert to the stage.  Welcome back.
