Return of the Forbidden Planet

Return to the Forbidden Planet,  as a musical,  celebrates and evokes memories  the music of the 60s and 70s, whilst the location is reminiscent of the flight deck in “Startrek”.  The progress of the musical mirrors the story in Shakespeare’s The Tempest.  Confusing? -  not at all it comes together well and transports the audience on an exciting journey.

The Society is to be congratulated on selecting this show which showcased the many talents of this young cast.  The director created a very credible spacecraft both in terms of the physical set and the actions and mannerisms of both the principals and the chorus.  Each and every member of the cast played their role well and kept their character the whole time they were on stage.  The efforts of this very talented cast and crew were very much appreciated by the audience.
