When you attend a Great Barr MTC production you are guaranteed a great night.

The Big bad wolf is busy trying to capture the Three Little Pigs while Red Riding Hoods evil stepmother is keen to get rid of Granny and Red so she can inherit a fortune.  Along the way we meet Bark, Trunk and Fin and a handsome Principal Boy.  So the programme informs us and it was not wrong.

Red Riding Hood was played by Annette Bird and it was a joy to see more of her instead of just being the MD.  Will the Woodcutter and the wonderful Granny were played by Emily Paine-Clark and Alex Bates.  With Olly Paine-Clark as Fin.  Mr. Wolf was played wonderfully by Craig Carlon.  His costume was wonderful and it is no wonder that some of the younger members of the audience were frightened by him, great performance.  Comedy came from the duo of Bark and Trunk played by James Nuttall and David Stead.  Those wonderful three little pigs, Derek (Claire Moore), Rodney (Emily Stephens) and Albert (Anne Hewitt) came over really well, great comic timing.  Ursula was played by Joanne Rhodes and how the audience booed her.  Nice to see Maureen Bowyer back as Gerald, father of Red.  Also great support came from Hollie O’Sullivan and Gary Hewitt.  I was so pleased, and I have to say cheered loudly when Emily Stephens reprised her role as Big Mac, from a previous pantomime.  Really made my day.

Emily Stephens should be so proud of this production and for a company, on stage of only fourteen they did a fantastic job.

Thank you so much for the invite and your hospitality and I am really looking forward to ‘Eurobeat’ in November 2026.
