Once again, what is proving to be a fabulous pantomime has been chosen by this Crickhowell company with great enthusiasm from all their audiences. Crickhowell & District Players created this very successful pantomime,Rapunzel, in fact by the full houses and huge applause this was one of their best !
Everyone loves this story from childhood of the girl with the golden hair trapped in a tower, and Katy Saunders was perfect as the principal lead in this pantomime, singing beautifully, acting and dancing her way throughout with energy and confidence, a really lovely performance enhanced by long golden LED lights down to the ground for her hair a fabulous idea !
Fynn played by Rhys Goodwin also excelled as her Prince, and they made an excellent duo excellent interaction together, and with the rest of the cast.
This was a very talented cast on stage with many fun characters, Netty and Hattie Hairspray very good comedy from Jase Kilby and Miley Burton and of course the baddie Floella so well played by Cara Perkins with a strong performance and great rendition of her songs she was excellent! Silly Billy, Kristina Wheaton played a very good characterisation and Narrator Kirsty Havard gave clear story telling.
Bethan Mason as Sylvesta Stallion who in the brilliant horse costume stole the show, it was hilarious. The scene when the jockey gave Sylvesta horse a lift off stage brought the house down!!!
Amazing dancing from Emma Evans and the talented 15 dancers were outstanding in every scene they appeared, brilliant choreography, amazing costumes.
Excellent Direction from Cara Perkins and Kristina Wheaton and Musical Direction from Jonathon Llewellyn-Bowden
The Musicians were all brilliant keeping the pace, and never played too loud so important with the Clarence Hall accoustics.
Fabulous costumes from Sian Fielding and Sheila Naylor.
Swift and silent Backstage from the Stage Manager Mark Bore and crew, well done and well lit by Lesley Alexander and good Sound by Matt Tovey.
Congratulations to you all and to Cara and Kristina Wheaton and team for all their hard work to make this happen in the cold wet Winter to brighten up Crickhowell with lots of laughter, fun, colour and happiness!
See you next year, Every success!
