Rapunzel A Tangled Panto
This NODA Pantomime by Bradford and Webster was one I had not seen before. What good all round family entertainment.Rapunzel was a newborn baby that was stolen from her mother by Wicked Witch Gothel and locked in a tower with no doors or stairs to be captured 16 years later by a hansome Prince.
The cast members gave a good account of themselves with the various characters. Rapunzel (Jemma Hughes) and Prince Fredrick (Rebbecca Thorne) were an appealing couple and worked well together. The comedy was in the capable hands of Kristian Wharton (Dame Beatrix Boffannt) and her son Frankie (Steve Taylor) plus the two witches unlikely Henchmen Curly and Bob played by Matt Hickman and Kurt Sanders. Fairy Fora was delightfully played by Elle-May Davies. Sylv Hickling gave a menacing performance as Gothel the wicked witch.Lots of minor character played their parts well and the chorus sang nicely.
Colourful costumes and nice sets. Thank you everyone.
