Rapunzel is a new pantomime from NODA, and what a pleasant change from the usual round of Pantos, that one sees.

There were some good performances, particularly from brothers Ruari and William France as Prince Frederick and his Valet Frankie, respectively. Scarlett Wills was a sweet Rapunzel, despite being locked in a tower for years by Witch Gothel, played by Jessica Turner.

I would have like Jessica to be much more wicked,  she was far too nice at times. I was well impressed by Katherine Mossop and Hannah Thompson as ‘knockabouts’, Curly and Bob, fine performances from ones so young. Other parts were well performed, and the very young chorus sang and danced very well.

The backing tracks to the songs worked well. The scenery was good, lighting and sound worked well, and the show moved along at a good pace. Well done to all concerned.

It was good to meet and chat to the company at the final curtain, and an enjoyable show made the forty miles dtive back to Workington seem a lot easier.

Well done to Millom AOS for a very enjoyable evening.
