It becomes increasingly more difficult knowing where to start with a review of this group. There is such a wealth of talent in singing, dancing and acting that seems to develop more as time goes on. I am not going to attempt to single out any principals as there wasn’t a weak singer amongst them and the amount of energy delivered in the dancing both by them and the chorus was enough to light a whole town for a month. However I must mention Charlotte Kinson Caroline the Cat) as she worked hard in involving the audience and keeping the story moving along.

The staging of the song ‘Islands in the Stream’ was a delight and was a hit with the audience. It featured rippling ‘waters’, a raft, shark, crocodile, fish and swimmers. It was an inspired piece of staging. Another innovative piece of staging was the ‘running gag’. This featured a barbershop quartet who kept trying to sing a song but were always rejected until they eventually achieved their goal.

There was a good choice of foot tapping music and the choreography and its execution were amazing. The whole production was complimented by fantastic costumes and well designed versatile set. Well done to everyone involved in the pantomime both on and off-stage!
