Priscilla is like no other show I have ever seen in over fifty years involvement in musical theatre. It is certainly not for the faint hearted, homophobic, narrow minded people of this world. The content was very graphic and explicit , but all of which is delivered in a light hearted and comical way.
The show tells the story of three Australian drag queens who set off by bus from Sydney, across the outback, to Alice Springs for some cabaret engagements, and the trials and tribulations that they encounter, along the way. The bus breaks down, they are derided by local macho cobbers, and various other adventures before reaching their destination.

The three main roles are superbly played by Phil McIntosh, as Bernadette, Craig Mitchell as Mitzi, and Ryan Grainger as a brilliant Felicia. A very strong talented team indeed. They were very ably backed by the Divas, a sort of Aussie, ‘Supremes’tribute group . The girls playing these roles were Sarah Carrick, Laura Thompson and Kate Priss. All other roles were also very well cast.
The show musically is made up of a compilation of very well known pop hits, ‘I Will Survive’, ‘True Colours’, and ‘Go West’, to give a few examples, and these were all sung superbly by the Drag Queens, Divas, minor roles, and chorus alike.

Technically the scenery was handled very well by the stage crew, and the bus was a joy to behold. The backcloths, particularly the ‘Priscilla’ house cloth, were good and wiped very quickly. Congratulations to the wardrobe staff , what a massive job they had. Numerous quick changes into complicated costumes handled, with ease  Lighting and sound were good and Paul led the orchestra very well.

Congratulation to Steve, for his direction, I know how hard he worked. The hard work from the production team was tangible, and the teamwork, energy and enthusiasm the entire cast put into the whole show, made it a pleasure to watch.

Very many congratulations, and well done to everyone connected with this show. Another great achievement.
