This was an excellent production by WAOS juniors, it was easy to see the hard work and commitment that had gone into the show from everyone concerned.

Star of the show was Sophie Mills, playing the titled role, her singing and acting were of the highest quality, for  someone of such tender years. She also took to the flying, as if she had been doing it forever. There were also lovely performances from the other principals, namely, Evie Askew as Wendy, she played her role with such innocence and conviction and her singing was very good. In fact all the Darling family played their parts well, Natasha McKenzie as Mrs, Andrew McMinn and Andrew White as John and Michael respectively. Daniel O’Hagan, one of only three adults in the production, played the dual role of Mr Darling and Captain Hook with great flamboyance, his characterisation of both characters was excellent.

All the minor roles were convincingly played and the production numbers were brilliantly performed by a very enthusiastic company of Lost Boys and Indians. It was a joy to watch them performing.

All the music was on backing tracks, there was a big sound when the full company got going. The costumes were very convincing and the scenery, lighting and sound were very effective.

Congratulations to the whole Junior team, this was a production of the very highest standard, and it bodes well for the future of the Society, with so many talented kids coming along.
