Chapeltown Amateur Operatic Society ( CAOS ) Academy performed the junior version of the well known story of Peter Pan with all the usual characters and whilst the junior version is much shorter in length nothing is lost from the iconic story . The production team as mentioned above must be credited for the way the Academy group performed this production . Compliments also go to the set builders and back stage team who provided a simplistic set which worked really well in all the scenes . The competent adult backstage group making the larger scene changes but I liked the fact with the cast members being involved in the lighter stage changes. A very useful lesson as they develop their stage performances . I couldn't help but notice the beautiful music played by Catherine and the way your MD David was helping you all with the timing and beat, making sure you came in at the correct time , a really commendable team effort .

As with all groups the principals get the comments but without the strength in depth of the whole ensemble the production would be lacking. You should all feel very proud of your efforts. It is often said within the theatre world , .. there is no hiding place on a stage ... and tonight  in whichever role you played ,really well done to you all .

Peter Pan played by Ava Richards , clearly a very competent young lady, gave an excellent performance as the boy who never wanted to grow up . Tinkerbell played by Ruby Gregory ,a hard part to play as most of your interaction is by signs along with hand and arm action . Capt Hook played by Eve Gregory ,the baddy of the show .A lovely powerful performance and great stage presence organising your pirates .Smee the sidekick to Hook played well by Erin Rice with some memorable moments when being ordered around . Tiger lily played by Faye Gregory ,great performance and well done for leading your group .The Darling family ,  Wendy played by Lily Thompson, John played by Connie Jones and Michael played by George Strutt along with Liza by Annabella Lucas , Mrs Darling by Amy Abdy , Mr Darling played by Eve Gregory , also doubling as Hook along with the quick changes .Well done to you all . I really enjoyed the way you portrayed your characters and of course we must not forget Nana by Darcy Lyons , I hope you were wearing knee pads !!. Well done .

The lost boys were very realistic working well with each other  , Blake Daniels, Abbie Cawton, Ben Ingrosso and Zach Needham .

Capt Hook's pirates , Daniel Jackson , Thomas Needham , Isobel Chandler and Daniel Jackson .Again well done and some great cameo scenes ,

Lastly but not least the Brave girls , Brodie Brown , Freya Walsh , Amy Abdy , Annabella Lucas ,Ruby Gregory and Darcy Lyons .  Once again some really well performed scenes along with a number of you taking on dual roles .

The lighting worked really well along with the well balanced music. Some excellent choreography giving you all welcoming stage presence and the opportunity to utilise the theatre to the full .  Congratulations to the costume designer ,the performers all looked cleverly dressed and in keeping with their characters .

On behalf of Jo Sykes , our Noda Youth coordinator, who sends her apologies for her absence ,well done to you all for a lovely evening's entertainment

Finally Sylvia and I would like to thank you for the invite and excellent hospitality shown , along with wishing you all success with the remainder of your shows.
