This age old story is told in this version by the award winning pair Stiles and Drewe. It has some catchy songs and relies very much on the performances of Peter and Wendy. The society was very fortunate to have the talents of Callum Davies and Kayleigh Sparks in these roles. They acted, sang and danced through a variety of numbers and routines and both should be commended on their contributions. They were well supported by Gabriel Plume (John Darling) and Harry Fitzpatrick (Michael Darling). There was a strong performance from James Gorton in the dual role of Mr Darling and Captain Hook whilst Andrew Gilman was a very amusing Smee. Becky Eason was delightful in the role of Mrs Darling as was Alex Eason as Tinkerbell. Catherine Thompson as Tiger Lily led the Indian braves with spirit. The Lost Boys were well disciplined and performed superbly and looked as though they were enjoying themselves. The chorus were confident and supportive in a variety of important characters. The whole production was linked throughout by the exquisite diction of Ball (The Storyteller)
The set was cleverly designed and the special effects particularly the flying sequences and Tinkerbell’s light were really well done. There was a good balance between the orchestra and performances. Well done to all involved!
