I must congratulate this society for once again giving the audience a super show. Over several years visiting, I have seen the standard improving , this panto was great. Peter Pan brought out all the requirements for a lovely evening`s entertainment. Music chosen fitted in well with the story. Principals were well suited to the different characters.
Not quite the usual type of dame,Ian Dean-Boardman was brilliant as Tiger Lily, a beautiful !!!! Indian Princess with stunning frocks!!! Most of the songs were in the capable hands of Wendy (Beth Alcock) and Peter (Lauren Dean) Great vocals. Not to be outdone was the very attractive but a naughty and jealous Tinkerbell well played by Jennifer Dagnall.
Every panto needs a baddie and David Crank gave a solid performance as Captain Hook. His two pirate crew, Smee and Starkey were very funny and well played by Stuart McCaig and Nicola Walsh.
This panto tells the tale of Peter and Wendy trying to find the Lost Boys, visting the Island and Neverland, meeting Tiger Lily, Captain Hook and all his motley crew. They also met a lovely mermaid with great voice Marina (Charlotte Fieldng)
As usual the chorus of super well drilled children almost stole the show. You were Brill. Sound and lighting were just right. Costumes were beautiful. Everything about the evening was just right.. I know the audience enjoyed this show.
Thank you for the care given to my friend and myself.
