This musical version (music by George Stiles and lyrics by Anthony Drew) of JM Barrie’e tale of the boy who never grew up was a perfect vehicle for this talented group of P6-S1 youngsters. Katie Dewsbury (Peter Pan) gave an excellent and assured performance as did Stephanie Walker (Wendy). Murray Hossick (Mr Darling/Hook) also gave an excellent performance. Along with Brooke Smith (Smee) and his band of pirates, he brought lots of laughter from the audience with his futile attempts to capture Peter. Strong support was given by Lucy Harris (Mrs Darling), Joshua Milne (John), Christopher Dewsbury (Michael), Katie Hindle (Tinkerbell), Louise Black (Tiger Lily) and Iona Johnston (Storyteller) whose confident narration moved the action along seamlessly. The singing and movement from every one of the 55 youngsters on stage was very strong – a real credit to the production team. Well done everyone for another excellent production.
