Well done Goole AODS on a great show bringing London NW1 to the stage. The Junction is a cinema not a theatre so has no stage and very little wing space so I am always impressed with how well the space is used to full effect. Congratulations to the Director William Knight for bringing this show together with clever direction and to Musical Director Rachel Flynn and band for adding the music to this lively show.
The company had great energy and enthusiasm which had the audience tapping their feet. I must say a very, very well done to Joe Casey (Benjamin O’Connor). Congratulations !! A huge part for a young man but played with great confidence, timing and energy not to mention the quick changes (job well done dressers !). Sarah (Ellie Brannen) was perfectly matched opposite Joe and showed different strengths to her character. There was good chemistry between them. Joe’s best friends Emmo (Samuel Tillotson) and Lewis (Gregg Sellers) plus Sarah’s best friends Billie (Abbie Louise Booth) and Angie (Emma Kirkby) brought the humour and they all had good comedic timing. Dad (Zak Simpson) played his part well acting as the Narrator and guiding Joe to take the right path. Reecey (Matthew Hillam) gave a strong performance and appeared to be a guiding force in many of the group numbers. Mr Pressman (Rob Barrett) was a forceful property developer and fit the part well. There were numerous other parts and everyone made their contributions convincingly and with confidence.
Thanks everyone for a great evenings entertainment. Always a pleasure. Keep up the good work.
