This society always entertains whatever the production. This production was no exception, the pace was fast, accurate and precise. From the first note to the last everyone in the cast gave 110%. The set, costumes, and lighting were of a very high standard for an amateur production. The director's experience showed in the way that she led the show through a great deal of hard work and dedication. The orchestra was of a very good quality, well balanced, and the musical director did his part in the pace of the show. The choreography throughout was very subtle and soft but all added to the overall experience for the audience. Some of the individual scenes could only be described as beautiful, with the lighting, costumes and set all in perfect harmony. The chorus, I felt, was not there just to make up the numbers, but contributed greatly to the audience's enjoyment. There was an enormous amount of skill throughout the evening and the harmony with some of the music was almost at opera level. I wrote one word on my notes as the audience were leaving, which was simply - brilliant. The entire theatre was buzzing with enjoyment as people went back to the real world. All in all I was proud to be there and look forward to future productions by this society.
