Leamington  and Warwick Musical Society performed the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!

Oklahoma tells the story of Laurey Williams struggle between two rival suitors as well as the romance of Cowboy Will Parker and Ado Annie.

The principle cast consisted of Chris Gibey-Smith (Curly Mclain) who was full of talent showing emotions vocally and musically  as well as embodying the essence of a cowboy perfectly and was equally matched with the talent of Bex Walton (Laurey Williams) who has a fantastic stage presence and an amazing voice.

Sally Jolliffe (Aunt Eller) was very funny and certainly knew how to make an audience smile. The part was effortlessly played.

Jordan Erica Webber (ADO Annie Carnes) played the flirtatious part with ease with some wonderful musical numbers.  Andrew Thomas (Will Parker) & Alex Ross (Ali Kakim) were both a pleasure to watch, having excellent charactstics and you felt for both of the character’s in the dealings with Ado Annie.   All three of these characters worked well together and were brilliantly played.

Tom Vickery (Jud Fry) was the right kind of creepy and you felt for him but were very cautious of him all the way through, excellently done.

The small principle roles of Simon Henley (Andrew Carnes), Elly Grant (Gertie Cummings), Craig Edser (Cord Elam) were all done very well.   The remaining ensemble were very effective .

The musical ability of all the cast and the excellent chorography was effortlessly performed. A special mention to Charlotte Cochrane (Dream Laurey) and all involved with the Dream Sequence which was an excellent ending to Act 1.

Lighting for the performance was very effective and set a lovely tone to the show.   The set was fantastic in the way it looked and  transformed with ease between the scenes and with cast assisting in the changes helped keep the flow of the show and together with costumes made this a  entertaining and enjoyable show.

A big congratulations to the whole Production Team who without them the show would certainly not have been as entertaining and successful as it was.
