~~The audience may have been small on this opening night, but Pam & James Garrington’s production made up for that.  Set on Brighton Pier, this Pierrot show tells the story, in words and music, of the First World War.  The set, through minimal was well thought out and had some nice touches especially the Punch & Judy man and the ice cream stall.  The costume makers must have worked overtime on all the Pierrot costumes but all their hard work paid off.  On arrival into the auditorm the audience were greeted by a very jolly Pierrot who informed us what was going to happen (a nice touch).   The sound was a bit patchy at times but I am sure that this one technical issue will be ironed out during the run.

Two songs, which stood out, were the wonderful renditions of ‘Keep the home fires burning’ and ‘Roses are shining in Picardy’.

I understand that audience numbers increase during the week and that can only be good for this ‘don’t miss’ production.

Well done to you all.  I really enjoyed your production.
