Noises Off

Full marks to cast and crew for tackling this funny but complex play. Festival Players were able to maintain their standards whilst giving the audience an evening of laughter. The set was superbly designed, giving the patrons the opportunity to see the normal play and then the behind the scenes frenetic and hilarious activity as the personal problems within the touring company of actors caused the action to fall apart.  From the players' point of view having the skill to learn lines in three different formats added to the evening's entertainment. The use of stage properties was also wonderful to see andthe Players are to be congratulated for this. To single any cast person out would be wrong as they were all excellent. Norman Hockley can be justly proud of the finished product as well as all his team,who I am sure will now have a well deserved rest.
