Ladies and Gentlemen, please take your seats, the curtain will go up in five, no three, no two minutes – or what are we to believe!

This is the cleverest play we have seen. The timing was spot on and the work with the props was outstanding. No matter how many times you see “Noises Off” you won’t catch all the jokes or sight gags.   The players are putting the last touches to the opening scene of the play which is due to open next day. The plot of this pretend show “Nothing On” is the typical farce involving illicit lovers and diverse scoundrels creeping around a supposedly empty Country house. Intent upon their various errands they barely avoid colliding with one another, while making their split second entrances and exits through a battery of doors and one big window. The timing of this piece is so important and the antics in the second half were phenomenal. Everything that could go wrong on stage was three fold back stage.

It would be unfair to pick out individual performances as they all worked so well together as a team, but to mention Michael Crane is a must for the work put into this production. Well done to everyone.
