This is my first review for Norton & Malton Amateur Dramatic Society, "Nomads", the play "Night Must Fall" by Emlyn Williams, isn't a piece I have come across previously, it has a very dark theme which probably wouldn't appeal to everyone, however I really enjoyed it.  I suspect this play isn't easy to direct, but Roger Kay did an excellent job, with the cast obviously seeing his vision of the intrigue and suspense required for a successful interpretation of the piece.  The cast worked very hard, unfortunately however, on a number of occasions I struggled to hear the dialogue, and there were some hesitant moments.  Putting that to one side, there were creditable performances, Thomas Jennings as the crazy "Dan" was excellent, not an easy role but performed with confidence and obvious acting abilty.  Claudia Brettle as "Mrs Bramson", Annie Bannister as "Mrs Terence" were both very good. Kirsten Russell as "Olivia, Alex Sims as "Hubert" both portrayed their characters very well.  I must mention the set which was excellent in all regards, together with the incidental music which added to the production.  A very enjoyable evening, well done to all.
