~~This four handed play, set on a Lake District Island after a corporate team managers bonding excersie go’s wrong, was a joy to watch and how the audience enjoyed Joanne Ellis’s production of this Tim Firth comedy.

As soon as the curtain opened the set got a round of applause, and well deserved it was.  The set building team at Sutton Arts Theatre went overboard with this well thought out set.

The play opened with all four actors landing on the island in very wet clothes.  They must have been very cold.

Rod Bissett led the four actors well as Neville, who as team leader has the job of keeping everyone together.  Dan Goodreid as Gordon played the part of the overbearing manager who thinks he should have been team leader, but what can he wear as he has lost his rucksack.  Angus played by Phillip Beadsmoore lives in fear of his errant wife, who only goes to the shops but takes ages.  He is carrying enough equipment to climb a mountain.  The last of the group of four is Roy who is dealing with the effects of a nervous breakdown.

Special mention must be made of Ben Field who played Roy, who stepped into the role at the last moment following the original actors ill health.

Joanne should be very proud of her cast and crew and this was another good production from Sutton Arts Theatre.
