~~This concert celebrated 40 years of Trinity Players and every time I hear this society they get better and better.
The evening opened with a selection from ‘Trial by Jury’ their first production, in which they welcomed back on stage some of their founder members from all those years a go. It was sheer joy to see them back on stage again. Also there performance of Three Little Maids from ‘The Mikado’ had the audience rolling about in the aisles. Performed by Rick Jones, John Hall and Colin Townsend.
Ben Field gave us a rousing rendition of ‘Anthem’ from Chess. I have never heard Ben sing. He needs to do it more often – it’s a shame to hide such talent!
The evening was compared by Hellie England who kept everything moving.
The presentation at the end of the show to Jean O’Connor (Founder) was a surprise to her and a lovely touch.
Well done to you all. You were great.
