‘Musical Memories’ in a reminiscent journey through the history of the society as a ‘filler’ for the usual summer slot before the date change and opportunity to present ‘Elf’ pre-Christmas,and to show the development of the group from a training ground into such a successful part of the Norwich theatre scene.

I must congratulate the group on the polished finish of this revue, certainly Holly Graham and Joe Ringer got the best out of this very talented group of players, cracking pace, excellent projection and vocals, slick movement, great groupings, and above all the right mix of songs to display where TTC has risen to in the theatre stakes, this is what a revue should be in a professional presentation. And these were numbers sung to their best by the right age group with full energy, what a joy to have such talented younger members.

The mix was cleverly selected by going through the history of the society, but not necessarily the obvious numbers; and well presented by the Chairman who managed to get into some of the numbers!  I had forgotten some of your shows so a delightful reminder.

A great group to play for City of Angels, West Side Story perfect with right voices and ages, company for Half a Sixpence, take-off Adelaide’s Lament, again full company with Oklahoma, sexy Anything Goes, sympathetic Fiddler, rousing Sweet Charity, glorious duet reprise Spend, Spend reminding us of Viv’s visit, energy plus company Disco Inferno, and we were ready for a cool-down interval.  Energy-plus company Footloose, followed by guest reprise Holly from Jekyll and Hyde showing what professional means, the boys in Full Monty, James guesting with his current list for Hot Mikado, fun from Little Shop, quieter moment with feeling from Wedding Singer, rousing routines from Hairspray, into Avenue Q and puppets, on to 9 to 5, and finally the last success Spamalot. In fact one missed, Hired Man.

What a programme and what a reminder of the excellent productions we have all enjoyed in the 23 years since the group formation, and how many nominations and shield winners for Threshold. The whole energy and enjoyment with talents shown must be a great advertisement for you and make this a group to belong to, and I wish you all a fantastic time as you prepare for Elf at Christmas.
