Murder on the Airwaves

It's always exciting to review Three Towns Theatre, especially one of their Murder Mysteries, and this production of ‘Murder on the Airwaves’ did not disappoint. Samantha Grace as writer and Director has succeeded again - this lady has a real talent for writing and direction for Three Towns.

B.O.M.B. a radio studios is owned by Eleanor Andrews, played by Gwyneth Loft a very accopanished actress, who rules the roost with a rod of Iron. Only an actress of Gyneth‘s calibre can do this. Debra Harrold, a matriarch of Three Towns, was played Verity Owens as if this part was made for her, and it was!! Alongside Debra was Diane Martin, who I must say was so funny and had a lot of the comedy lines.The whole cast of Murder on the Airwaves were line perfect. A cast of women with only one man, Chris Gipson as George, were all well reahearsed, it seemed to me they knew their lines backwards. These Ladies being Amber Cloughley as Brooke, Sharon Healy as Arianna (who died beautifuly), Meg Teesdale as Payton, Anna Harper as Lilibeth, Amelie Eades as Sophie, Nikita Mullins as Jemima (Jimmy), Janet Turner as Annie, Stephanie Waters as Betty, Emma Barns as Florence, Debbie Davis as Sally and tickling the ivories was Musical Director Suzanne Crossley, all giving their all.

A simple set, dressed for the period with excellent costumns. Technical Manager Niel Michaelides gave us his professional touch on sounds and lighting, and the stage was managed by Louise Parrott.

This murder mystery with music was a great piece of theatre for a Saturday afternoon, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Samantha you hit the heights again..along with your team of actors, you gave your audience a smart Murder Mystery. I didn’t work out who dunnit….perfect. Thank you Katy for greeting me well when I arrived, a rearity nowadays. I have no gripes to report this visit.
