Buttershaw St Pauls Spring concert was this year “Move Musicals. As always, the song choices were very well chosen with a chronological running order from musical movie tunes from the 1920’s through to the 2000’s. The first Act consisted of songs I both knew and didn’t know, all were well received and particular my particular favourites were “Ol’ Man River “led by Phil Jowett, The Lady is a Tramp sung by Rob Dirkin who also was Musical Director, “I Wonder Why” and “The Roses of Success”. Act Two spanned the decades from the 1970’s and into the 2000’s. Opening with “Summer Nights” from Grease and taking the audience on a journey with “Never Fully Dressed” from Annie, “I Will Follow Him” from Sister Act, “Waterloo” from Mama Mia and ending the show with “I’m a Believer”. Which was not only sung by the society but a very appreciative audience too.
Thank you for a wonderful evening
