This cast of 34 young people certainly knew how to put on a show. Although the production was not that long, the cast worked really well together and Louise Sall and Tim Rice as co-producers should be very proud. Erin Mooney, choreographer, also did a sterling job.
Tilly Cartwright led the company well in the title role of ‘Matilda’, and did a great job. She was well supported by Darci Rice and Edward Lawlor as her parents, Mr. Mrs. Wormwood and Robin Lawlor as her brother Michael. Her allies in the production were her teacher Miss Honey, played by Gracie Reynolds, wonderful singing voice. Matilda’s nemesis in the production was Head Teacher, Miss Trunchbull, played by Maddie Howard. Such a great performance and a great stage presence.
As I have said, the ensemble really worked well together as a team and with three shows in one day they certainly had the energy.
The costumes looked good and worked well, Credit due to the wardrobe ladies. The set was very effective and looked good in the space available.
The lighting was effective and gave a good overall effect on the production.
Young people are the future of NODA and members of this society will go far.
Many thanks for the invite and I look forward to your next production.
