Champion Schools Production of a special version of ‘Matilda’ the musical, and many congratulations on being chosen to be one of four schools in Norfolk involved in this RSC workshop production with the Theatre Royal Norwich.

You were such a good choice for the project as the standard of your productions is so high: interesting that the Theatre Royal contact had never seen one of your shows and was surprised at the standard, so make sure that she is invited to your autumn main show.

What a team of fabulous energy, they rocketed on to the stage and just let rip with vocals and movement, certainly a wake-up for anyone not a regular to your shows. That chorus all so vibrant and slick with all the actions, and excellent projection throughout. All those who had character roles had done the homework and developed the person, really one should not pick out any especially as all did so well, and also the interaction between these characters brought out the different styles. Which ones did I think were perfect, well not to choose as all so good, except one has to make an exception of Tallulah Owen in the title role, this 11-year-old had everything for this part and used the talent to high ability.

A show for all to star in, singing great, movement, energy and on time, everyone knew exactly where to be in the moment and what was needed in all aspects, and we were inspired by the professionalism of these youngsters: Ormiston deserved the attention from RSC and must have benefitted from the tutorials offered, Congratulations to all concerned.
